On May 31st, a workshop was held in the CdT Tourism Centre in Benidorm organized by the Alicante Wine Route.
The goal of this workshop was the presentation of the latest news related with the route: wineries, restaurants, activities.
The wineries present in the event:
- Bodegas Enrique Mendoza
- Bodegas Bocopa
- Bodegas Francisco Gomez
- MG Wines Group
- Casa Sicilia
- Bodegas Xaló
- Bodegas Volver
The main enotourism town representatives were also there: Villena, Novelda, Monovar, Vall del Pop.
There were also present a few travel agencies such as Viajes Petrel and a wine-focused travel agency called Cultura Violeta (“violet culture”). We particularly liked their Wine Bus project. You can also stay at El Mas del Poeta, a countryside lodge which offers nature, relax, tradition, gastronomy and wine.
After the workshop we enjoyed a great catering and we tasted some of the wines of the wineries.
We tried Bocanegra, a white organic wine, it was really fresh & tasty, by Bodegas Francisco Gomez made of moscatel (muscat) grape variety. In its label you can find out that it’s vegan, organic and biodynamic, with demeter-standard label.
It was a surprise to find Riesling , a white wine by MG Wines Group I liked it!
Bodegas Bocopa has just released a new rose wine “Señorío de Benidorm”, great served cool for a summer party. The winery presented it exclusively for the first time in this event.
Other wines we tasted: Semsum 2 and Mo by MG Wines Group, a few from Bodegas Xaló, the white Chardonnay by Bodegas Enrique Mendoza, the white “Señorío de Benidorm” by Bodegas Bocopa and Casa Cesilia Rose wine.
Have you tried any Alicante wines?
